Competitive

Team Play

PNW Ignite is a competitive basketball program designed for athletes who are determined to improve and eager to put in the work. Our teams emphasize preparation, accountability, and execution, providing players with meaningful competitive experiences against strong opponents.

Being part of an Ignite team means committing to the process, showing up prepared, embracing challenge, and contributing to team success. Competition is approached with purpose and intention, not shortcuts.

Coaching Impact

The coaching and training environment has the greatest impact on an athlete’s experience.

At Ignite, we believe who is leading, teaching, and mentoring athletes matters as much as the competition itself.
Our coaches and trainers bring diverse backgrounds in player development, competition, and youth athletics, and are aligned in philosophy, expectations, and approach.
Together, they set the tone for development and culture, challenging athletes to grow while supporting their confidence, accountability, and love for the game.

Plateau Athletic Club (PAC): Integrated Strength, Speed & Agility Training

The Plateau Athletic Club (PAC) provides PNW Ignite with customized fitness training led by owners and lead trainers Nolan and Vanessa McSheridan.

The program includes weekly training sessions focused on developing strength, power, speed, agility, and endurance. This structured approach supports long-term athletic development by emphasizing proper movement, injury prevention, and consistent performance progress throughout the season.

Through this partnership, PAC and PNW Ignite create a competitive, supportive training environment that enhances individual athletic development, builds motivation, and fosters team cohesion.

Team Standards & CULTURE

Ignite operates with a competitive mindset rooted in high expectations and a positive, empowering environment. Roles are earned, preparation is expected, and effort is non-negotiable, while athletes are supported, encouraged, and challenged to grow with confidence.

Players are pushed to improve individually while contributing to team success in an environment that values both accountability and respect.

Our teams emphasize:

  • Accountability and personal responsibility

  • Coachability, effort, and a growth mindset

  • Team-first decision-making

  • Respect for teammates, coaches, and the game

  • Competing hard while supporting one another

Ignite is built on the belief that strong habits, clear expectations, and intentional competition, when paired with an enriching and positive culture, create confident, prepared athletes.

How Ignite
Teams Compete

Ignite teams participate in tournaments and games that support player development and competitive growth. Competition is used as a teaching tool, helping athletes build composure, adaptability, and confidence in live game situations.

Players are expected to apply training concepts, execute team principles, and respond to pressure with discipline and awareness. Wins and losses are part of the process, but improvement, consistency, and growth are the focus.
